To be honest in our opnion- StowAway is a better product all around. The future with StowAway Retracting Screens is very clear while the future with Clear View was not. The switch to the StowAway brand allows Classic Home Improvement products to still service all existing Clear View customers from over the years with a customer database of over 15,000 customers and growing daily. We are a huge operation at Classic Home Improvement Products with our name on the line. We can not afford to offer you a product that we no longer believe to be the best on the market. The Clear View was the best screen on the market…but over the years when StowAway was making improvement after improvement….Clear View began to settle in the dust and get left behind as the original model screen.
StowAway advantages and sleek design in our opinion far surpass the lack of innovation from Clear View screens. StowAway has internal magnets while Clear View does not, StowAway offers 3 closing options, the speed reducer, the gear close or the original fast close. In our installation experience the Clear View speed reducer always leaked and ours does not, the powder coating would chip and peel off as they dwindled their inventory during the economy downfall by powdercoating over navajo and sending it out as black…but forgetting the one step of sandblasting before painting them black. – ohh woops.
Along with 7 more color choices than Clear view hitting a staggering 18 available options to choose from and over 28 different types of mesh you can clearly see why we made the switch. The position holders over the years just fall apart…this will never happen with StowAway. All in all – its a better product with more choices than you can ever imagine www.GetRetracted.com

The Clear view comes standard with it patented speed reducer which allows the screen to gently retract this means no loud, scary slamming or pinched fingers. The screens come in 12 standard colors and with a standard black or gray fiberglass mesh.The screens are also available in wood grain and other custom colors. You may also upgrade the mesh to a Solar mesh (blocks out heat from the sun) or a black or white polyester pet mesh (scratch resistant for those with cats or dogs that like to bite or scratch). Looking to change the look of your Exterior? Try an Exterior Shutter or maybe an Awning. Exterior Shutters can dramatically change the look of your home. Bahama and Bimini Shutters have an added bonus. They can be used to change the look and block the sun by covering the top portion of your window or door. Awnings Fixed and Retractable can also improve the look of your home while also giving you Sun Control. Awnings have a large variety of colored fabrics that can add a little extra to your homes Exterior.
Looking to cover your Windows for Sun Control? Try a Motorized Power Screen or a Drop Screen. Motorized Power Screens offer different levels of Sun Control while also adding the benifit of Bug Control. The Motorized Power Screen has a unique Zipper Track that allows the sides to seal up when the Screen is in its down position. Manual or Motorized Drop Screen is great for Sun Control; However does not offer any kind of Bug Control. Just like the Motorized Power Screen, a Manual or Motorized Drop Screen offers different levels of Solar Protection. You can also use an Awning Fabric to dress up the look with color, and block a bit more of the sun.
